Website Rules i. Kindness. Please be kind and considerate to the other members of this roleplay! We're all here to have a good time and every person here deserves respect. While racism will be an issue that the roleplay addresses, we will not tolerate any kind of racism outside of the story from our members. If prejudiced behavior is displayed by our members in any way towards any group of people, we will not hesitate to ban them and remove their characters from the roleplay.
ii. Creating New Threads. We will not be allowing anyone to create any new threads in the roleplaying or information sections of the forums. All the locations in the world have threads to roleplay on, and if the world gets a new location or a location is destroyed, we will add or change threads ourselves accordingly. The information is mostly the same; it will be updated if new bits of world-wide information is added. If you can think of something new you'd like to be added to the roleplaying or information sections, please let us know and we will see what we can do! You can post anywhere else with no issue. iii. Appropriately Placed Content. Please place threads in the right locations; art will go into the art section, writing will go into writing sections, etc. We understand that someone might make a mistake and accidentally make a post in the wrong place. If this happens, don't hesitate to let us know, and we will move the thread to the right location when we can!
iv. Art. Please attempt to give credit to art that you post if it does not belong to you. If you do not know the owner and creator of the art you post, please at least try to tell us where you found the art in question. Faceclaims should be posted in the art section or joining forms so we are able to add them to a character's information on the front pages of each location. Any art you created is welcome as long as it isn't graphic! If there is anything about a piece of art that might make someone uncomfortable, please put a warning and put the image in spoiler tags so people do not have to see something that could trigger them. We do not allow sexually or gore-based graphic art.
v. Sharing Personal Information We ask that members please exercise caution in the matters of giving out personal information to others on this website. We highly suggest that no-one post their phone numbers or any kind of address on this website for anyone to see, be it in threads that everyone can see or even in private messages. We cannot stop anyone over the age of eighteen from deciding to do this, but we ask that you be aware of the potential consequences you could face should you decide to share this information. Anyone under the age of eighteen must absolutely ask for their guardian's permission to share their private information online.

Roleplaying Rules i. Literacy. In this roleplay we will ask our members to use proper grammar both in and outside of roleplay. Though we would prefer for members to write at least three sentences in their response to make sure that there is enough for someone to reasonably respond to (meaning no one-liners), we will not ask you to write several paragraphs per character. Text-talk will technically be allowed in-roleplay, but only in very specific ways (such as when a character is reading a text, or saying text-speech out loud).
ii. Parentheses, Brackets, and Bracers. When speaking and discussing things that do not relate to the ongoing roleplay, please use parentheses, brackets, or bracers to indicate that you are doing so. If you use coding that has 'in-roleplay' and 'out-of-roleplay' sections, that is absolutely fine as well.
iii. Activity. Please be as active as you can be. We know that people have things to do in real life that keeps them from being able to come online, and we also know that sometimes people may lose their muse for an unknown period of time. If you think you will not be able to roleplay here for a while, but you do not want to outright quit, please let us know and we will make a note by your name in the member list to make sure we do not remove you. If you do not notify us, we will try to get in contact with you to let you know your characters will soon be removed, and if we cannot, you will be completely removed by the end of the month. You will be allowed to rejoin once, but your characters will be considered new, and if you vanish without warning again - without good reason - you will be removed once more and not allowed to join again. Activity is especially important for members with high-ranking important characters, as these characters will play important roles in how the plot of this roleplay progresses.
iv. No powerplaying, godmodding, metagaming, or spotlighting. There may be people here that are not familiar with what powerplaying, godmodding, metagaming, or spotlighting is when it comes to roleplaying your characters. For those of you who haven't encountered these terms before... Godmodding is when you take control of someone else's character. Godmodding can happen in the smallest ways; most of the time, it happens when one roleplayer says that someone else's character did something in their own post. (For example, saying that someone else's character smiled and laughed in response to a joke, or something similar.) Godmodding isn't often intentional, and we will forgive small accidents that leak through. Powerplaying is when someone makes their character thrive in every situation; they make them the most powerful on the battlefield, or the smartest in the class, without fail. They always have an ace up their sleeves that will make them the winner or superior when the situation they are in is over. Metagaming is when your character has information about the world and plot that they have no logical explanation for having. Spotlighting is when you try to bring everyone's complete focus onto your character. No-one is perfect, be it someone in real life or a character someone has made. They will not win every fight, they cannot avoid injury forever, and you can't make another person's character do something their owner disapproves of. As for metagaming, you as the roleplayer and a member of this website may know a lot of what is happening in the roleplay plot-wise, but please keep in mind that the characters will not if they have no reason to. There are some events that will be important enough that news will travel to different cities and even to different kingdoms, but not everything will be on a well-known basis. Spotlighting can be hard for new roleplayers to avoid, but we ask that everyone please be conscious of the risk of spotlighting when they RP.
v. Relationships and Skipping. We have no problem with different relationships being formed in-roleplay; it is relationships that characters have with one another that play such big parts in this roleplay's plots, after all! LGBTQ+ characters and relationships are, of course, allowed and welcome. For the most part, any and all healthy and legal relationships between characters are welcomed and appreciated! Unhealthy relationships, on the other hand, will absolutely need to be depicted as carefully as possible. If you plan to depict any form of an unhealthy relationship we ask that you please let everyone know with a warning at the top of your post, or at least where it is easily seen before the unhealthy interactions begin, and continue to label it until the interaction is over. There are members that might be uncomfortable reading about such relationships and we want to do everything in our power to ensure they don't come across it when they could have avoided it with a warning. If any type of relationship, healthy or not, turns graphic in some way, we ask our members to use the good old 'skip,' with a very short and clean explanation of what happened afterward.
vi. Racism and Bigotry. Like mentioned in the rules listed for the overall website, we do not tolerate any kind of real-life racism or bigotry in any way, shape, or form. That being said, this is going to be a roleplay that deals with such topics for all characters involved; with there being different views on different Elementals, and with certain Kingdoms either having past violent history or currently high tensions with one another, there are bound to be characters that may feel strongly in a hateful way that we would absolutely not condone in real life. Please keep in mind that the actions of a character do not reflect the beliefs or morals of their owner. We ask that any racist behavior displayed by characters is marked with a warning so people know what to expect. vii. Plots. In this roleplay, Blue and I are going to do our best to have each location have their own interesting plots that everyone can participate in. There will also be large-scale plots that will eventually involve every kingdom, even if it is to a small degree. We ask that if someone wants to create a large-scale plot that they believe would involve other people's characters or have repercussions and effects in the area they are in, that they ask us if it is alright to first. We most likely will allow it with no issue, but it's always good to check in and see if we have something else planned soon, or if we would have another reason for delaying or rejecting the idea.
viii. New Characters and Roleplaying. When you create a new character, please keep in mind that you cannot roleplay them until we administrators have given our approval. I go into more detail on how to add new characters and the rules regarding them in the Character Forms tab, but I'm putting this here as a gentle reminder.
ix. Mary Sues and Gary Stus. Mary Sues and Gary Stus are widely known in different fandoms and roleplays, but in case you haven't come across the terms and do not know their meaning, Mary Sues and Gary Stus are supposedly perfect characters. These characters can do no wrong; they look perfect, act perfect, and never make any kind of mistakes, or turn mistakes that they make around to make themselves seem more perfect. Perfect people do not exist in real life, and they assuredly won't exist in this roleplay. We're not asking to make your characters over-flawed, but please make sure that they don't turn out to be "perfect" characters.
x. Marking Time and Time Jumps In such a large roleplay with so many members, it would be easy for people to lose track of the time frame of the roleplay. People like to skip when their characters need a quick time skip, and that would, typically, put their characters ahead of those that haven't skipped. This might put some characters in difficult situations if they skip ahead of a planned event that their characters would reasonably be a part of, or an event that might make skipping ahead difficult. For this reason, we will be asking everyone to place the in-RP date of your RPing either at the top or bottom of your post. For the most part we just want the date, but time and weather would also be appreciated! It would look something like...
As for Time Jumps, we would really appreciate if everyone would let us know about bigger time jumps. We might not approve of month-long time-skips, but usually a day or so is fine.
